GET TO KNOW US
Mountain Ministries is dedicated to the practice of the principals explained in Matthew 25
We are instructed to give to the poor and take care of each other. We are instructed to love our neighbors. We recognize that taking care of the sick, needy, meek, and victimized is a duty incumbant on all Christians as well as all humans. To this end, our ministry seeks to do these things quietly and without acclaim.
Everything this ministry does is toward that aim of making sure that we treat the least of God's Children the way we would treat Him if he were standing in front of us.
We focus our attention on these basic activities :
Feeding the poor and hungry
Comforting the grieving
Ministry to the prisoner
These Sacraments transcend religion and are common to many in teaching if not in practice. In Jewish practice, these are called Mitzvahs.
In Muslim traditions, they are Fard.
They are religious duties owed to God.
In practicing these Sacraments, we engage in activities that further them.
We purposely avoid acclamation or praise for these activities. We also leave theological interpretations and dogma out of it because we believe that these are the essential things that God celebrates and blesses. We consider everything else worth considering, but we don't focus on those mysteries.
We believe that service to others and the fulfilment of these Sacraments is the best demonstration of faith that we can offer up to God.
We believe that God will see this as favorable.
